All Around Gutters is committed to making our gutters & leaf protection & maintenance & drainage information easy to use for everyone across the Greater Kansas City metro — including visitors who rely on a screen reader, keyboard navigation, or larger text.
Our conformance commitment
This website is built to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA — the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508. For All Around Gutters, accessibility is part of how the site is built, not a feature added at the end.
We do not rely on an accessibility overlay or plugin. Those add-ons often interfere with the assistive technology a visitor already uses, so we build accessibility into the site itself instead.
How we build for access
- Semantic HTML landmarks (header, main, navigation, footer) and a visible skip-to-content link on every page.
- One clear page heading and a logical heading order, so the structure makes sense to a screen reader.
- Full keyboard operability with no JavaScript required — including the menu, which is built with plain HTML and CSS.
- Text and background colors checked to meet at least a 4.5:1 contrast ratio for readable text.
- Visible focus outlines, so a keyboard visitor can always see where they are on the page.
- Motion and transitions that honor your device's “reduce motion” setting.
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images; purely decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Text that resizes and reflows without losing content, and a single readable column on small screens.
